Summary

Chapters 258 to 246 recount how Rami was once stopped by Palestinian patrol officers while following a Dutch film crew in the West Bank, recalling many of the protective precautionary tactics Bassam taught him about dealing with border checks and hostile defense forces from his own experiences. At many of the checkpoints, there are space restrictions and recording devices, the latter of which are used by hacking regiments in the Israeli forces to detect suspicious activity but have also been used to make protest songs.

On his way back home from the monastery in Chapters 245 to 240, Bassam passes through a checkpoint with relative ease.
