Summary

In Chapters 273 to 281, on his way to England to begin his research in Peace Studies, Bassam is interrogated at length by an Israeli border agent. Once in Bradford with his wife and children, he enjoyed the safe banality of English life while studying and writing his thesis on “The Holocaust: The Use and Abuse of History and Memory.” His fellow students often inquired about his background and his views as a Palestinian under the Occupation.
