Chapter 24:

Max and Dylan land on the roof of the school and are attacked. The attackers are snipers with guns dressed in all black with hoods over their faces. Max and Dylan fly off and Dylan pulls Max out of the path of a bullet. Dylan tells her he saw the shooter aim. Dylan tells Max he could see through the hoods. He tells her the shooters were kids and they had no eyes. Max wonders how they could aim and thinks they must have some sort of adaptation. She tells Dylan that Izzy lost his sight because the scientists tried to improve his eyes for night vision. Dylan is sad that they are thought of as experiments and...
