Summary

In Chapter 7, Althea has been expelled from school for beating up Coby and is living in the basement at home. Her father tells her that he can get her into another school after winter break; that she doesn't have to like it, she just has to graduate high school. He also tells her to think about art school because going to college is a long shot now but she doesn't really care. Her father tries to get some reason from Althea as to why she went crazy on Coby at school that day but she can't put anything into words. He tells her she has to call her mother and tell her about the expulsion and they settle down on the couch to watch a movie about dinosaurs.
