Beatriz Soria

Beatriz Soria can perform miracles, but she prefers not to. She lives with her parents in the small, remote desert village of Bicho Raro and is much closer to her emotionless father, Francisco, than her hot-blooded mother, Antonia. Her best friends are her two cousins: Daniel and Joaquin. She is the middle cousin and is 18 years old in this novel. Beatriz is known in her town for being quite unique.
