Summary

In Chapter 25, Forrester asked Jenny how she got the idea of Bob being her rapist. She said she did not want to tell and he was relieved. He knew it came from the conversation he made sure Sean overheard in his office. He told Jenny that her memory of Bob as rapist was not likely correct for three reasons: 1) she arrived at the idea through her own method of immersion therapy, 2) Bob was running for office and had a lot to lose, and 3) Since he was her father’s boss, she would more likely recognize him. Jenny noted that most women are raped by someone they know. He did not want her to be defensive, so he agreed with her. He told her that his concern was that a false memory would jeopardize the case and encouraged her not to tell the police...
