Tad and Lindsey, Part I through The Enemy of Math Summary

In "Tad and Lindsey, Part I," Jeffery has to go to math tutoring one afternoon a week in an effort to get him ready for the test. His tutor is Mr. McGrath, the gym teacher. Jeffery is obviously lacking in self-confidence and tries to explain to McGrath that he has a problem working quickly. McGrath counters, saying Jeffery has what's necessary to work hard because he's seen it. McGrath then says he'd been opposed to Jeffery and Tad having access to the gym equipment set aside for athletes rather than going through the regular gym classes with the rest of the students. But he'd watched and noted that Jeffery worked hard during his time on the equipment and that he'd managed to get Tad walking...
