Summary

Part Two

In this initial couple of pages, the reader is thrust into a stream of consciousness. The unnamed narrator is, after many attempts, finally writing down a chronicle of the journey in Area X. After the first page, it becomes evident that the narrator is the missing Biologist from books one and two. She's been resisting the 'brightness' inside of her for years, she reports, but has finally decided to let it in. She wants to write everything down, just in case, in being consumed by the brightness, she never fully returns to herself.
