Summary

In Chapter 27, Carla packed her bags, intending to leave town. She remembered how she had reconnected with Daniel after his mother’s funeral. When visiting his boathouse, she had found erotic sketches of herself.

In Chapter 28, Theo learned that Laura had been arrested. He hoped that he and Carla could move forward together now that everything was settled.
