Summary

In Chapter 13, conservation officer Eugene Marshall arrived at the Yanceys’s rural property after their report of poachers. However, when he studied the area where they had heard the shots, he discovered tracks, blood, and a vehicle sunken in the swamp. The Yanceys guessed someone was murdered.

Marshall called Billings about what he had found. Billings confirmed that the discovered car was the Charger with the BOLO. He guessed there was “a dead guy in the trunk” (154).

In Chapter 14, while waiting at Union Station, Catherine got a call from Billings about the Charger and murder. He told her the Pilot was sending a reporter to the station to meet a contact.

After calling Matt, Catherine called Sally while she was waiting for her contact. Catherine said her source was not coming as he was dead. Catherine, Lamar, and Arman met her and Trey...
