Reed Larson

Federal law allows requiring all employees to pay union fees for collective bargaining services as a condition of employment in workplaces where the majority of workers are unionized. According to Reed Larson in the following viewpoint, forcing employees to pay union dues violates the principles of a free society by compelling them to pay financial tribute to a private association. A national right-to-work law would end the practice of forced unionism and dues collection and protect all U.S. workers from union officials, who, in Larson's opinion, exploit employees for power and profits.
