adjudication: A judicial determination (judgment) that a juvenile is a delinquent offender, giving the court the power to pass sentence on the youth.

assault: Unlawful intentional infliction, or attempted or threatened infliction of less than serious bodily injury without a deadly or dangerous weapon. Aggravated assault is assault with a deadly weapon. Simple assault is not often distinctly named in statutes because it consists of all assaults not explicitly named and defined as serious.
