Oliver “Buck” Revell
Over eighty members of the Branch Davidian cult and four federal agents were killed at the conclusion of a fifty-one day siege in Waco, Texas, in 1993. In the following viewpoint, Oliver “Buck” Revell argues that although the FBI and other federal agencies involved in the Waco siege committed many mistakes, they did not murder anyone or attempt to cover up or lie about their actions during the siege. In fact, Revell maintains, the FBI continues to support thorough investigations into its conduct and deserves a fair and impartial evaluation. Revell, now chairman of the Greater Dallas Crime Commission, was the associate deputy director of the FBI and provided support to the FBI’s operation during the Waco siege.
