Gene Barth

Gene Barth is a senior research technologist at the University of Chicago Medical Center. In the following viewpoint, Barth contends that the theory of global warming is unsupported by solid scientific data. According to Barth, the scenarios of environmental devastation due to man-made global warming are based entirely on general circulation model (GCM) climate simulations. In Barth’s opinion, the climate simulations distort the mechanisms that determine global temperatures and therefore produce results that contradict more objective evidence showing that no global warming is occurring.
