Choose a phrase or monologue which depicts an emotion or theme from the play told through the use of poetic imagery. Illustrate the images described in your selection and incorporate the appropriate dialogue within your illustration.

Poetic Sensibilities

How can the five different senses be used in poetic imagery? Choose a phrase which depicts an emotion or theme from the play told through the use of poetic imagery. Which sense does it represent: sight, touch, sound, taste, or smell? Rewrite the phrase four times, using the remaining four senses while keeping the meaning of the imagery intact.

For example: "Angry as a raging bull" can be rewritten "Angry as a roar."
