Examine John Sandford's Lucas Davenport series. How many books are there? Write a character profile of Lucas Davenport. Discuss how the character has progressed and evolved throughout the series. Where might Davenport go next? How might Davenport's relationships with Weather and his colleagues in Grant appear in future books?

Being in Grant for work is a strange circumstance for Davenport. Because Lucas Davenport was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has always lived in the area known as "The Cities," rural living is a bit of a shock.
