1. What once happened, which Miranda struggles to remember?

Miranda remembers that something special happened once. It was something wonderful and amazing and terrifying as well. Something that was impossible. However, when she tries to remember exactly what it was, she can never remember exactly what happened.

2. Where is Browne's new house located and what does it look like?

The Browne's new house is on a side road that is paved in brick and winds up a hill. There are only four houses on the street--two at the bottom of the hill and two at the top. The Browne's house is at the top. The house is of what used to be white clapboard but is not a teetered gray-white. Peeling paint flakes off the porch railings. A front window is smashed. There is a large yard with flowering bushes, waist-high grass, and overgrown shrubs.
