Have students create a series of drawings depicting the life of Mama Wewe. Consider using butcher paper or newsprint (end rolls can often be purchased reasonably at a newspaper office) that can be rolled up to create a "scroll."
Ready, set, action!
Have students write a movie scene that shows the passage of time in Eugenia's life (this was included in a lesson plan as well). Have students then act out that scene. As an alternative, have students create a short movie of their own.
Make a crossword
Using an online program, create a crossword puzzle using words in the story. As an alternative, have students create the puzzles using only names.
