Objective

The objective of this lesson is for students to compare and contrast Dara and Marie Durant. The sisters grew up as ballet dancers in their mother's dance school. When their parents die in a terrible car accident, Dara and Marie take over the dance school and begin running it, but Dara sees herself as the sister who is most competent and together. Marie seems less confident, though she is beloved by the younger students and is trying to assert her independence.
