Philip Roth (born 1933) is an American novelist who gained fame in 1959 and has since become one of the most honored authors of his generation. Roth's books have twice been awarded the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle award, and three times the PEN/Faulkner Award. He received the Pulitzer Prize for literature in 1997. Today's class will research the author and introduce the novel "The Prague Orgy" to the class.
