Essay Topics

Write an essay for ONE of the following topics:

Essay Topic 1

Discuss the importance of banking regulations to the House of Morgan. Include at least three specific regulations, including the Glass Steagall Act, discussing the why they were enacted, their effect on banking in general and their effect on the Morgans.

Essay Topic 2

Choose either World War I or World War II and describe how the Morgans were involved. Among things to discuss are their position with respect to the war, whether all the firms were on the same side, what influence they had with what governments, how they were financially involved, etc.

Essay Topic 3

The Morgans, including the Morgan firms, individual Morgans and individual Morgan partners, were influential directly in a number of US presidencies.
