Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine what equilibrium means and how and why equilibrium is maintained in the park. Equilibrium is a state of being where things are balanced or stable. The Bison try to keep the Equilibrium in the park.

Class Discussion: How does the park have an Equilibrium? How do the Bison watch and protect the Equilibrium? What happens if the Equilibrium is upset? What are some examples of things that can affect the Equilibrium in the park? How is Johannes Eyes for the Bison? What happens when he sees something that affects the Equilibrium? What are some examples of solutions the Bison have devised for keeping things stable in the park? How can humans upset the Equilibrium? Why is it important that there be balance in the park and the Equilibrium be watched and protected?
