Create a Dish Like Mercy

Mercy loves to cook in the story. With the permission and help of your parents, like Mercy did, make your favorite snack or meal and bring it in to share with your classmates. Be sure to also bring in a complete list of the ingredients in your dish, in case any of your fellow students are allergic to any foods.

Put Yourself in Mercy's Place

Imagine if you were Mercy and you were dying and had a small child. What would you say to your child, knowing that you wouldn't survive to know her as an adult?
