• The story is narrated by two first-person narrators: Atlas and Lily.

• Chapters are titled with the name of the narrator.

• In Chapter 1, “Atlas,” Atlas and Darin are looking at the back door of Bib’s, Atlas’s restaurant, which has been vandalized.

• The back door has the word “ass whole” (2) spray painted in red and windows are broken.

• They discuss why the vandalism might have happened.

• When Brad comes outside, he tells them the croutons are gone.

• Atlas decides not to call the police.

• Once he broke into a restaurant because he was hungry.

• If the vandal was hungry, Atlas does not want him getting arrested.

• Atlas decides the vandalism is a matter of convenience and not a targeted break-in.
