Essay Topic 1

In February, it snows for the first time, and Greg and Rowley decide to start making the base for their snowman. They face many obstacles along the way, and Greg seems to blame everyone around him when things do not go his way. What challenges do Greg and Rowley face and how does Greg respond to these challenges?

Essay Topic 2

Greg tries to press his parents to buy him some serious exercise equipment and weight powder, so Greg can become a better wrestler. Greg's mom thinks it is an extreme request, but Greg's dad is on board with certain caveats. Why does Greg's dad support Greg, even though it is a financially impulsive decision, and what is the outcome?

Essay Topic 3

At the end of the year, Greg and Rowley get into a fight that some teenagers end up egging on, which leads Rowley to eat the dreaded Cheese. Greg ends up telling the teenagers he is allergic, so that he does not have to eat it. Why does Greg allow Rowley to take the punishment, and how does Greg try to make himself look better, even though he clearly chickens out at the time of the fight?
