Film Version

Watch one of the many film versions of "A Christmas Carol" and write a short essay comparing/contrasting the two versions.

Costumes

Come to school dressed in the costume of one of the characters in the novel. Divide the class into groups of two teams who must guess which character each student on the other team is dressed as. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Drama

Choose one of the scenes in the novel to act out with your classmates. Each student in the group should be a part of dividing up the lines and all should speak in the scene. Have each group give a performance of their scene in front of the class on the last day of the unit.

Alternate Ending

Have students write a scene giving the novel an alternate ending. What might they change...
