Many relationships change and evolve during this novel, but none more dramatically than that between Simon Snow and Baz Pitch. Write an essay analyzing the evolution of Simon's and Baz's relationship.

Simon and Penny are deeply shaken when they realize the Insidious Humdrum looks just like Simon. Later, towards the end of the novel, they discover the physical similarities between Simon and the Humdrum are because the two are so closely connected.
