Right Burke, Stony Wile, Howard Shakur and Markham Peal are all sitting in Socrates house, talking about how Howard's daughter, Winnie, saw a boy called Petis stab and rob another boy called LeRoy. Socrates visits Iula's diner at least once a month, on a Tuesday. Iula serves meatloaf on Tuesdays and that is one thing he is not able to make at home. Why does Socrates not like collecting bottles and cans? Socrates does not like the way the men treat him at Crenshaw's. They make him wait, while they stand around telling jokes. Then they check every can and bottle before accepting them. Why does Iula frighten Socrates? Iula frightens because he finds her appealing.
