1. In Chapter 1, what does Feyre kill when she is hunting?

Feyre goes hunting to feed her family. She sees a doe and prepares to kill it with an arrow. Then she sees a wolf stalking the doe. She is not sure if the wolf is a faerie, so she uses an ash arrow with an iron head. She kills the wolf, and then she kills the doe.

2. How does Feyre carry home her kill in Chapter 1?

Feyre knows carrying the doe will be a struggle. She hates to leave the wolf, so she skins him and cleans him. Then she wraps the bloody side of the wolf pelt around the doe and hoists the doe across her shoulders to carry her home the miles she has to go to reach her family's cottage.

3. Why are Feyre and her family living in a cottage in the woods?
