Bones & All Overview

Bones and All by Camille DeAngelis is a novel about a teenage cannibal. Ever since Maren was a little girl, she has been eating people. First it was her overly affectionate babysitter, then it was the boy from summer camp who had a crush on her. Her mother always covered up the crime and helped Maren escape repercussions. However, on Maren's 16th birthday, her mother abandons her because she can no longer cope with Maren's bad behavior. Alone and full of guilt, Maren embarks upon a cross-country road trip to find her father and meets several other cannibals along the way. The novel explores stories, morality, mothers, love, and the ostracism that comes with engaging in taboo activities.
