Molly Gibson
Molly Gibson is the main character of this novel. When we are first introduced to her she is a child getting ready for her first formal event at the Towers. Very quickly she is 17 years old and her father is worried that she needs a mother to guide her in this time of her life.
Molly is smart and well educated even though her father is a doctor and her mother died when she was very young. She is not as obviously beautiful as her step-sister but she is very pretty, and everyone loves her. She makes a good impression on all she meets. She speaks her mind even if that may seem rude to some; she does not beat around the bush and is very straightforward. She learns this from her father.
