Chapter 56, Off with the Old Love, and On with the New

Roger hears Cynthia is back from London and comes over to talk about their engagement. While he is waiting for her to come home he sees her out the window in the garden talking to Mr. Henderson. He leaves before she can come in. He knows she is engaged now.

They decide to have the wedding in London because Mr. Henderson wants a quick wedding and Mr. Gibson thinks with all the engagements Cynthia has had lately, Hollingsford is not the place for this wedding.
