Chapter 51-55 Summary

Chapter 51, Trouble Never Comes Alone

When Molly comes back Cynthia tells her and Mrs. Gibson she has written Roger letters telling him the engagement is off, then she went and asked Mr. Gibson if he would help her find some place else to live as a governess because she cannot bare to live with him now that he knows this about her. He asks her to give it a day to think it over and then he leaves, and he sends Molly in to comfort her sister. Just then a messenger comes in and asks for Mr. Gibson; they say they are from Hamley and that Osborne has died.

Molly tells them to find her father and she leaves immediately to go to the Squire. When she gets there he is just sitting with Osborne so she just comes in and sits on the floor...
