Summary

In Chapter 9, Andy heads with his father to New Beginnings with his father, the home his grandfather is in. There is a sign out front that reads: “New Beginnings: Where Every Day Is Something Special” (41).

As they sit in the parking lot, Bradley asks if he wants Andy to come in with him, but Andy says he will be okay. They talk briefly about where Andy went last night, and Andy can tell his father is concerned about him. Andy asks if they are going to talk about what had happened, and his father replies that they hate his mother. Andy is confused, as it has never escalated to this level before. They would get TP’d when he was in high school, and his father explained that they did not hate her back then.
