Summary

Iris walks with her mother at the Citadel of Lakes as all of the Lakelands prepare for the invasion into Norta. They head to lunch where they wait for her sister, Tiora. After dismissing all of the servants, Cenra tells Iris that it is normal to feel shame over killing someone out of revenge. Tiora arrives and says that all soldiers across the country are ready for battle. They have been planning an attack since turning Maven over. They know that all the Reds have left Cal. However, Cal’s proclamation of fair wages of more Red independence worries Iris as she believes Lakeland Reds may run to Norta for the chance at a better life.
