Chapters Sixteen - Eighteen Summary

Perry hurries to Aria, asking if she is hurt. When he sees the berries in her shirt, he yells at her for risking her life for poisonous berries. Frustrated, Perry tells Aria what direction she has to go in, and leaves, but he keeps an eye on her as she makes her way east to the Blackfins compound. He discovers that the compound is empty, and there are few traces of the settlement that had been there just one year ago. Aether storms ravaged the area leaving only one partial home standing. He drops his bag at the door to let her know where he is and sinks down onto a straw mattress. When she arrives and lays down using his bag as a pillow, he manages to rest.
