Chapter 3

Darrell, the security guard, was taken into custody by the police and is now, after a few days, released from prison. Aubrey, the girl that was shot at the facility, is in critical condition, and he’ll be charged with murder if she dies.

Darrell returns to Eugene Labs, where the head director, Mary Trane, is waiting for him. She brings him to see Sync, the head of security. Sync assures Darrell that he did his job and the company will support him. He sends Darrell away and speaks with two other security associates, Thorne and Harmon. He gives them instructions to find the dog that Odin took, and to continue to cover up what really happened. They tell Sync about the missing USB drives, which worries him.
