Summary

In Chapter 5, the narrator goes to a literary festival in which she has been invited to as a speaker. The location is nice because of the natural setting, but the same setting makes it hard to get to. Faye gets there late, which is not uncommon for the authors to do, and is taken to the Green room. When she gets there the Chair and the other authors, Julian and Louis, are already there. Another person, Oliver, who is with Julian, is also present. It is okay that she is late because an electrical outage has delayed the panel discussion. She had already met one of the authors, Julian.
