Chapter 3 Summary

Stephanie and Lula do a little shopping in the mall before going to find Stuart Baggett. When they finally get to the hot dog stand, they find Stuart there alone. Stephanie explains to him that he needs to go to the court and reschedule his appearance. Stuart does not want to leave the stand because he is afraid he will be fired. Stephanie offers to buy all his hotdogs. When Lula throws in an offer to buy French fries and cokes too, Stuart agrees. Stuart packs up the hotdogs and then calls his boss, telling him he is sick. Stephanie and Lula then escort Stuart out to the truck. Halfway to the police station, the truck begins to stall. Lula is driving and decides she can keep the truck going if she revs the engine. However, while doing this, Lula accidentally rear ends...
