Chapter 18: Man Whore

Kellan continues to bring home a different girl every night. At Pete’s, Jenny tells Kiera that she is glaring at Kellan and asks if they are fighting. Kiera assures her they aren’t. After five nights in a row of listening to Kellan with a different woman each night, Kiera snaps and asks Denny to talk to him. Denny flatly refuses, telling her she is overreacting. He suggests they try to drown them out instead, but Kiera is not in the mood. The next morning Kellan comes down after Denny leaves for work, and Kiera ignores him, still angry. Frustrated with her demeanor, he reminds her that he is only doing what she asked of him – keeping everything above board. Despite his behavior, she misses Kellan every day.
