Chapter 9: The Espresso Stand

Denny begins his new job but it is nothing like the good job he gave up to return to Kiera. He has been given a cell phone, and as the intern is expected to answer it and respond to any and all requests. When Max calls again on his time off, Kiera is frustrated, and Denny responds in kind. He leaves, and Kellan notices and offers to get her another drinking companion - Griffin perhaps? Angry, she tells Kellan he was the biggest mistake she ever made. He leaves shortly after. When she gets home, Denny is waiting an apologizes to her, and feeling marginally better the next morning, she apologizes to Kellan. Denny tries to be less unhappy and Kellan makes himself scarce until one morning when she comes down to find Denny and Kellan talking...
