Chapter 8 Summary

When they stop for lunch, they talk about the significance of the three-week killing cycle. Lamarr says they think it's some external because it doesn't match the lunar cycle or other things they looked at as possibilities. They think he might have a military schedule that rotates every three weeks, and Reacher suggests it might be someone in Special Forces. When they get back in the car, Reacher asks about Lamarr's stepsister. Lamarr says she's a rich girl that joined the Army looking for adventure. Instead, they assigned her to drive a truck and she saw a colonel five times about making a transfer. When he suggested it might help if she got naked, she turned the colonel in and got him kicked out of the Army.
