Chapter 6 Summary

Reacher goes to say goodbye to Jodie at her office. He goes home and grabs his folding toothbrush and prepares the house to leave.

Chapter 6 Analysis

Against his better judgment, Reacher chooses to help the FBI. The only reason he agrees to work with the FBI is to protect Jodie. It's ironic that he goes home to secure the house when he doesn't really care about it as a possession, but rather sees it as something that is holding or anchoring him down.
