Chapter 10-12; Postscript Summary

In chapter ten Annie and Sini are discussing what they will do when they get home and Johan promises to come and visit them. While Johan is out German soldiers start a house to house search. The girls are put into their hiding place and when the soldiers come Annie is afraid to breath out of her nose for fear of making too much noise. The soldiers take some cloth from Opoe and a pig. When Johan gets home he is angry and almost wishes that the soldiers would come back so that he could get his pig back. Dientje begins to cry when Johan says he has to go to work.
