Summary

Chapter 13 is titled “Dill.” Dill and Lydia meet at the Good News Coffee shop, where all the beverages have a Biblical slant on their names. They joke a bit about the shop, then Lydia says she wants Dill to go to college. She says that Dill is angry because she is going away, and Dill takes that to mean she is more interested in having him stop being angry at her than she is in helping Dill. He accuses her of seeing him as a “project.” She refuses to listen to his excuses – that he cannot afford it, that his grades are not good enough, or that his mother needs him.
