Section 13: Chapter 36 & 37 Summary

In Chapter 36: Our Family Is Vaporized, the capstone, or pyramidion, is all that is left to complete the pyramid when Carter, Sadie, Amos and Zia reach Camelback Mountain. The capstone is suspended between two flying boats, so after they cause it to crash to the ground, Amos distracts the demons while Carter, Sadie and Zia fly into the pyramid. They see the golden sarcophagus buried beneath the throne. When Amos flies in through the hole in the ceiling, he says he has made sure no one would interrupt them so it is time to talk. He falls to his knees as his eyes turn red and steam rises from his body to form Set who sits on the throne and says "I suppose Zia gets to say 'I told you so'" (p. 450).
