Chapters 10 and 11 Summary

In Chapter Ten, Temple eventually stops beating the men and she and Maury leave the room, leaving Moses in his cell. Temple returns and gives Moses a knife, saying she hopes they kill him but that the knife will give him a fighting chance. She and Maury make their way back to where her car is abandoned. She has figured out that a tracking device has continued to lead Moses to her and knows she'll now leave the car behind. She finds one gun with a full clip and she and Maury begin the walk away from town.

Temple soon begins to follow the paths of a railroad track. She notes that the rails are shiny and wonders if they are somehow being used. They find a river and bathe, and Temple washes out their clothes as much as possible. Temple...
