Jude Duarte

Jude was born in the mortal world to human parents. Her life was changed when her mother's former husband, a faerie named Madoc, killed both of Jude's parents. Jude's older half-sister, Vivienne, is Madoc's biological daughter, and Madoc intended to take her back to Faerieland with him. He accepted that his former wife's other children, Jude and her twin sister Taryn, were also his responsibility, and raised them in Faerieland as well.

This novel is the third of the series, and it picks up with Jude living in the mortal world, having been banished there by High King Cardan shortly after he agreed to make Jude High Queen.
