Chapter 7 Summary

In the morning, Donna takes Stacy to Foley's Memorial Store to shop for jeans and t-shirts, also buying several dresses which she insists is the style for Stacy's age. Donna also buys bras, panties and a slip for her younger sister. When it is time for Donna to leave, Stacy fights the fear of being left alone, hurrying her sister off to class, but she shrieks when she opens the front door to find a woman standing on the porch. Donna introduces Stacy to Mrs. Cooper who asks Stacy to babysit tonight from 7-10 P.M. Donna objects, but Stacy agrees since Dad will be working anyway. After Donna leaves, Stacy looks through the cookbooks and manages to make a casserole.
