Section 15: Chapter 26 and 27 Summary

In Chapter 26: Los Angeles, September 2000, Julian and Ramona initially refuse to go along with Gunnar's idea because it is suicide, but eventually everyone agrees because $4,000,000 is too much money to turn down and it is possible to get away with if they do it just right. When they gain access to the boat, Julian and Ramona set up the bar while Gunnar, Lucy and Mike deliver baskets to each stateroom as a way of searching for the safe. Mike finally locates the safe behind the door at the end of the hall, but he is distraught when he realizes it is an electronic safe which requires a computer to break into; however, as Mike places a basket in the man from Detroit's room, he grabs the can of talcum powder of the basket and blows it on the touchpad...
